About Artist:
Malik Bey is a San Francisco–based DJ, producer, and curator blending house, Detroit techno, and Jersey club with deep roots in Black dance music. His sets fuse soulful energy, unique rhythms and gospel influence to create high-impact, emotional dancefloor moments. As the cofounder of SILK, an all-Black house music series, his work centers community, culture, and the future of the sound. SCOOBIE is a six-track project, rooted in the house music I grew up with, blending gospel, soul, Jersey club, and Detroit techno. It will continue to grow as I grow as an artist. Inspired by my mom and the music she introduced me to, the project reimagines those influences through my lens as a San Francisco-based DJ and producer.
