When I got my first electric guitar in middle school (an Epiphone Les Paul), I learned the 12 bar blues almost as a necessity so I could jam with my buddy; who was already ripping solos like he was Stevie Ray Vaughan. Blues was one of the first genres I learned how to play and one of the genres that got me hooked on music as a whole. Since then I’ve always wanted to incorporate it into my music so when I heard the “Sinnerman” vocal that’s repeated throughout this track, it immediately reminded me of old blues records I’d heard and I thought it’d be interesting to try, and make a bluesy house track.
