About Artist:
From a young age, Jesse Griffith – the musician behind Cut_A_Rug – has been playing drums in various different genres, yet always keeping a love for electronic music developing in the background. With the release of his debut single, “A Room Full of Everyone You’ve Ever Loved”, and a newfound passion for DJing, Jesse is bringing that love to the forefront. A variety of experiences have informed his music-making process, from discovering the world of Aphex Twin early on, to playing percussion pieces by composers such as Steve Reich in college, to playing drums professionally around the world in different projects. Cut_A_Rug aims to find common ground between the abstract and the dance floor, while also fusing DJing and live percussion together to form a distinct voice in modern electronic dance music.
