Within the confines of the Ghost Complex, two self-aware AI entities grapple with their humanity, or the lack thereof, as the inaugural subjects of the PETAL program (Planetary Escape Through Artificial Learning System). Their fragmented reality is constructed from the dreamlike remnants of human memories, salvaged before humanity’s twilight. As the last vestiges of humanity faced impending extinction, the PETAL initiative entrusted these advanced artificial beings with a series of songs, designed as fables, to transmit human knowledge and emotions and kickstart a new civilization. This song begins to unfold tales of humanity’s past, revealing both its accomplishments and imperfections.
