In his music, Jessy Mach re-imagines his upbringing mixed with 80’s sound effects and modern technology. “I offer listeners a stroll in my childhood memories. It is a kind of remake of the 80’s as I experienced them, as I remember them,” he says. “In a nutshell, a sound memory.” A true product of the 80’s, he cites a wide range of musical influences, from Vangelis to Van Halen!
“The main idea is retro-futuristic, that is to say, combining the production of contemporary music and sounds from the 80’s,” he adds. “Thus, my production is designed in the form of several ‘sound paintings’ which represent fragments of my childhood memories. Indeed, the 80’s are a substantial source of mental pictures, sensations and sounds rooted in my artistic personality. You will find soundscapes running from ‘Blade Runner’ to sound paintings close to chase scenes from ‘Miami Vice.’”
