Klypi is a self-taught and self-produced artist, with this track being one of the first of their newly formed sonic scope. “Life Sucks” was written using Logic – a now everyday modern tool for music making, utlizing stock synths and free plug-ins to embrace their quirky and punk ethos. It isn’t about the cost of the materials, but the melody and the message that makes it. THAT being said, “Life Sucks” and Klypi in general is an inverse to the expented high-fi Pop that pervades the cyber airwaves; Klypi is a new kind of bedroom artist (mid-fi) that breaks the norms of what a bedroom artist/producer is, and further even what this codified genre has become.
