Hot on the heels of her recent NRJ Music Awards triumph for “Best International Breakthrough Artist” and “Best International Artist” at Los 40 Music Awards, multi-platinum award-winning artist Loreen releases a remix of her critically acclaimed single, “Is It Love” courtesy of British musician, Goddard., a club ready smash, destined for the dancefloor.
Goddard. is responsible for remixing Cat Burns’ UK #2 single, ‘Go’, in March 2022, before releasing the anthemic ‘Messy In Heaven’ alongside Venbee in the autumn – a track that spent 49 weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #3. Produced by Swedish record producer and songwriter, Rami Yacoub (Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Madonna) at MXM Studios and over 16 million streams across all platforms, the original track continues to gather momentum, six weeks since its initial release as she continues to exercise her nomadic influence on western pop music and culture.
Loreen says: “I’m so proud of everything “Is It Love” has achieved so far, from the reaction of the record online to being able to perform it live and connect with thousands of fans on tour. Now with Goddard.’s remix of the track, I hope it has the ability to touch even more people, particularly those on the dancefloor, who may also be seeking clarity and contemplating love.”
“I was keen to tackle the Loreen remix because usually I wouldn’t remix things in the 120bpm realm but I decided to have a go at and tempo automated track, transitioning from a Garage inspired beat in the first half evolving into a slower paced (165bpm) DNB second half. A lot more experimental but I had a lot of fun making it.”, Goddard. adds.
“Is It Love” is written by MTHR (”Can’t Tame Her” – Zara Larsson, “Better Days” – Neiked) together with Dag Lundberg (”Where Are You Now” – Lost Frequencies) and Maia Wright (Armin Van Buuren, Gryffin NOTD). The vocal production is made by Albin Nedler (Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Selena Gomez), and mix engineer Josh Gudwin (Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Justin Bieber).
