About Artist:
Mav is a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ, active since 1991 and based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He began producing and DJing electronic music at a young age, with roots in the early demoscene and netlabel movement of the 1990s, where he founded and ran several influential online labels long before the internet and streaming era (BMP, Advance). Alongside his production work, he has performed extensively at clubs and events across Europe. Known for his broad musical scope, Mav doesn’t limit himself to a single genre. His work spans drum&bass, deep house, downtempo, ambient, dubstep and other electronic styles, all released under the same artist name. Mav is the owner of several independent electronic music labels: Scientific (drum&bass), Deep Science (deep house) and Skylab (experimental / downtempo). These platforms are used both for his own releases and to support likeminded artists. He also curates and hosts long-running online radio shows, including Scientific Radio (formerly on Bassdrive, now on YouTube), as well as Deep Science Radio and Skylab Radio.
