WAHM – or Illusion in Arabic; created in reference to music’s effects on brain functions. The live electronic duo is composed of two multi-instrumentalists with a passion for blending different musical styles. The duo consists of Hicham and Walid, who both have a background in metal and rock but have since transitioned to another genre. After discovering the world of electronic music, they decided to start their own project and formed WAHM i 2019. They began experimenting with live electronic performances, using a variety of instruments and sound manipulation techniques to create unique and dynamic performances. Their music is a fusion of various genres, including electronic, rock, and metal. WAHM’s performances are known for their high energy, intense build-ups, and intricate soundscapes. Their shows often feature singing and live instrumentals, including guitar, bass, and drums, mixed with electronic beats and synths. WAHM’s unique sound has caught the attention of audiences and industry professionals alike. After a very remarkable release on Diynamic Music in 2020, they gained heavy support from Solomun, Andhim, Moscoman and other big names in the scene. They collaborated with big remixers like Henrik Schwarz, Marcus Worgull and Recondite. They have since performed at various festivals and events and have gained a dedicated following of fans who appreciate their innovative approach to music. “Bringing together all music fans” is what they want to achieve through their project.
