Instant Smile conceived “Home Is Where The Groove Is” as a love letter of sorts to old-school and Chicago house music, and to the life-affirming power and sense of belonging they elicit. The track may be a couple steps removed from Instant Smile’s usual synth pop wheelhouse, but is imbued with the same earnest energy and melodic sensibility.
