SPTFR (/Spitfire/), alias Giuseppe Esposito, is a shape-shifting creative talent, an insatiable experimenter in constant pursuit of his sound and fresh channels of communication to evoke emotion. Born in ’87, growing up between Sardinia – land of sea and wind where he was born – and radiant Budapest, he took to music at a very young age as a singer and guitarist, playing in rock and metal bands starting in 2002. At the same time, he discovered electronic music, immediately seeking out his own style, and released his first electro tracks under various pseudonyms as early as 2006. Music is an essential part of every moment of his life and the only way he can fully express his galvanizing spirit. Until 2015, he played in clubs around the island, starting from his hometown of Alghero, a pillar of Catalan culture, one of a kind in its history, language, and traditions. A long hiatus followed to focus on his work as a photographer and director. Photography and music, two passions with the same goal of remembrance, bringing back past sensations, chasing down chills. In 2020, a year of global crisis, he signed with 152 Records, releasing the single Gubble Bum for which he also directed the video. He went back to playing local clubs, as well as various European gigs, crowning his musical renaissance with a spot at the ADE 2021. With a smooth, deep, pure with a strong bass music’s character he seeks to bring back forgotten sensations, create connections, and liberate energy.
