Timmy P returns to the esteemed Cécille Records this August with the two-track ‘Mylo’s Groove’ EP. Hailing from Oxford in the United Kingdom, Timmy P has become a staple in the house scene across the past decade, racking up releases on the likes of Local Talk, Extended Play, Large Music, Nervous and of course Cécille where he returns here following 2022’s ‘Words Fail, Music Speak’ EP. Title-cut ‘Mylo’s Groove’ leads and sees Timmy P employing a classic filter house feel via an amalgamation of choppy vocal chants ebbing and flowing amongst one another while a sturdy drum groove, gritty stab sequences and pulsating bass keep things swinging throughout. On the flip-side is ‘Vintage B’, as the name would sugges the compsotion harkens back to the golden era of US, layering jazzy keys, acid squelches, brass licks and hypnotic voices atop a robust 909 drum workout.
